I was born in Baku city. My path of photography started from the childish interest. I was only 13 and I was already roaming with my camera and capturing everything around me. Little had I noticed how my hobby had transformed into major interest and after – into profession I can’t imagine my life without. As a child I used to photograph on the black and white film. It didn’t last long and I gave up after a while, but still, I’ve never stopped having a keen interest in photography.

 

In 2003 I eased into photography again. I started black and white filming and in 2019 I proceeded with color film photography, which is just dazzling with its magic. The magic of the film color - that is a whole different story.

 

Shooting on film, you think through every frame particularly, upgrading your skills as you just don’t have time for a single mistake. Film motivates you to conceive the idea of every picture, to consider every factor, rule the dynamic of the process in order to achieve the intended result. In the composition process you think and feel at the same time.

 

outcome expectation – is another advantage of the film photography. It’s a very emotional moment because how much your idea of the photo meets actual results you can only find out after looking through the films you have stored up and scanning them. Suddenly you recognize that you get a chance to take a fresh look at your own work. That is the outstanding feature and uniqueness of the film photography as I see it.

 

As a form of art, photography shows a human’s sense of world perception, imagination, attitudes to various life milestones.  My creative approach to photography has always been not to take photos, but to capture the beauty of the moment.
